Cinema Weekend 2006 @ BAFTA Syracuse University London Program (SULP) offers high-quality international education to more than 600 American undergraduates per year, enrolled in academic and co-curricular programmes designed to broaden their horizons and introduce comparative and global perspectives to their BA degrees. SULP supports the BAFTA Arabic Cinema Weekend 2006 as part of a series of initiatives aimed at countering cultural stereotyping through engagement and dialogue. In 2004, newly appointed Chancellor Nancy Cantor expressly committed the University to a series of initiatives focused on engagement and dialogue with other cultures and faiths. Using London's unique strengths as a cross-roads between Middle Eastern and Western cultures, SU London has recently been designated as a key site in the University's exploration of Middle East regional studies.
